Creative Advertising: The power of visual communication

Role: Creative, Visual Designer

Overview

During my early advertising career, I had the privilege of working for global brands that were recognised internationally by millions of people. As a Visual Designer, my role was to translate the team’s concepts into visually successful campaigns that could drive awareness of the brand’s product, or service.

Collaborating with Iconic Brands

Working alongside prestigious brands such as Land Rover, Greenpeace, and Santander Bank, I harnessed my creative skillset to work closely with marketing research experts, copywriters and art directors to bring every campaign piece to life. This is a compendium of samples of my work during this early stage of my career.

Promoting Environmental Consciousness

On two separate occasions, I was able to collaborate in environmental campaigns with WWF, and Greenpeace. These ideas were aimed to champion environmental consciousness by highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and forest conservation. Through powerful imagery and persuasive messaging, the campaigns aimed to raise awareness and encourage positive change.

Cultural & Educational Initiatives

Collaborating with Unesco and Gandhi Bookstore, our team delved into the realm of culture and education. With a focus on promoting literacy and cultural diversity, these artworks were printed out in the format of posters and postcards whilst being distributed across the country.

Impacting Lives & Social Responsibility

With Focus Ireland, I embraced the challenge of promoting innovation and social impact. The advertisements sought to inspire and evoke empathy, fostering a strong connection between the brands and their audiences.

Driving Brand Engagement

Working alongside prestigious brands such as Land Rover, and Santander Bank, there was a particular emphasis on direct mail campaigns to reward customer loyalty. These pieces were an effective way to measure engagement with the brand and customer happiness.
