Melissa Garlington has over 15 years of experience working in digital applications for leading companies and brands across the world.

Since she joined Workhuman 6 years ago, she has specialised in eCommerce and Data-driven experimental strategies which directly tie into the core business revenue models and overall user activity.

Key skills include:

  • Extensive experience leading and inspiring remote Design Teams to work alongside engineers and senior stakeholders across Ireland, Boston, and Belarus.

  • Highly proficient at contributing and creating new components for design systems that can bring consistency across different product user interfaces.

  • Conducting regular benchmarking analysis and leading user research initiatives through Design Thinking and Jobs to be Done methodologies.

  • Keen advocate in designing digital products that are accessible and compliant with usability heuristics.

  • Adaptable and proactive in learning new technologies that can improve the user experience.

  • Active participant in the Design community that can inspire other designers in their career journey.

In her spare time, she loves learning the latest Figma Design System techniques, generating images with Midjourney, and hoping to create an app with Open AI soon (learning Python is fun 🤭).

She believes that accessible, universal, and inclusive design is a must-have, and focusing on interconnected systems is the way forward.

She is open to having a chat at any time to discuss your company’s needs and hopes to be of good assistance.
