Kerry Group: A Seamless International Experience

Overview
Over the course of 3 years, my agency was hired by Kerry Group to redesign their global website and overall branding. We had the privilege of working on-site with ‘Kerry’ where we conducted a series of workshops, to assess their business goals, website requirements, site map taxonomy, branding elements, design system components, and more. This experience introduced me to the intricacies of building a design system to be deployed across an international site with an extensive page count.
Business Objectives
The primary focus of the project was to elevate user awareness of Kerry Group's diverse departments and extensive product portfolio. To achieve this, we aimed to create an intuitive platform where users could effortlessly download brochures, engage in live chat with agents, and easily contact the company for further information. The seamless fusion of branding, UX, and interactive design was key to delivering an exceptional user experience, one that could be scaled effectively through a robust design system.
Global Design System
The development of a global design system represented a pivotal milestone in the project. With the aim of maintaining consistent branding and user experience across the international site, the design system played a crucial role in unifying diverse elements. From a custom typeface and colours to interactive components and responsive behaviours, the design system ensured a modular approach that could facilitate updates and additions, empowering the website to scale with the growth of the organisation.
Key Highlights
In-Depth Workshops: Collaborating closely with the Kerry Group team through workshops allowed us to grasp their unique needs and tailor the website accordingly.
Design System Deployment: The development of a comprehensive design system streamlined the creation of a consistent user experience across the website's extensive pages and international versions.
